Half the Sky

I just finished reading Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn's book Half the Sky, and I have to say that it is one of the finest books ever written. Being a bookworm, I have read my share of world literature, but this call to arms from these fantastic people truly highlights the heart of so many issues around the world. Women's rights. And while many may feel that the current economic crisis, the wars that are raging out our doorsteps, etc. are more important, I ask you to take a step back, and look at the causes of so many heartbreaking events. Read this book, it will change your life, your perspective, and welcome you into the world of human rights. Join me on the other side and maybe we can get together and change this world.
