French France
So the IR (international relations) class that I was looking forward to is a lot more interesting and historical then i thought it was going to be. I am learning more about history now then I have in any of my classes at school. No offense, but it's true. We have to read about 50 pages a night and we will have finished the book by the 9th of July. Amazing huh. The weather is absolutely spectacular. 90 degrees and sunny, and not that humid although when it gets that hot humidity no longer matters. It's just HOT! So fun tidbit. The bus that we take to school every morning is "public transportation" is a tour bus (like we would have in the States). It's called the Crolard nicknamed the Crow and it is always late. Yesterday when we got to the bus stop some of the other girls thought that it was late because one saw the bus go by, as it turned out it wasn't our bus and ours was actually 5-10 minutes late! It is so much fun here and today we are going on our first hike! Apparently it is really beautiful, how can it not be, it's France!

Well its 65 and raining in Chicago! Are you going to wear an american flag and run in the streets shooting off firecrackers on the 4th? You know the Bush/Cheney thing over the last 8 years has produced a lot of love for America/ns in Europe!

Nope, I don't often consider myself a citizen of American but rather a citizen of the world. So I may participate in Bastille Day on July 14 and you should too.
ReplyDeleteI bet its hotter in India than in France:-) It sounds really nice there. Hows your host family working out? Do you speak French all the time? katie
ReplyDeleteYea, it is probably hotter in India, but compared to the weather in Vermont...It is wonderful. Host family is okay, although the mom is a bit stressed out and seems to always be yelling at the kids. And, the tend to eat processed americanized food most of the time which is so much different for both me and my roommate. I don't speak French all the time. With my family and in class, but with all of my friends and Jasmin (my roommate) we speak english. Email me, and tell me about your time in India!!!
